A Remedy for Election Tampering

What if the FEC offered a $100,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of anyone responsible for election tampering, including but not limited to RoboCalls,
scaring voters away from the polls, making voting more difficult.

Perhaps the reward is increased in proportion to the amount of impact.

If the tampering is significant enough the outcome can be changed.

With enough incentive someone will break the veil of secrecy..and get a book deal ;-)

Good sportsmanship is such a moderate/centrist value. Oh what I wouldn't give to hear a politician gracious not only in victory and defeat, but on the campaign trail as well. Once someone has demonized their opponent beyond recognition through attack ads and mudslinging, of course their overzealous supporters are going to resort to dirty tricks.

If you have convinced your supporters that your opponent is a baby-eating, village-burning, puppy-raping, omnisexual al-Quaida apologist, how could they look themselves in the mirror if they stood by and did not take desperate measures to stop them?
